Dr. Puja Patel

Dr. Puja Patel is a native of North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Asian Studies.  She went on to graduate from the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, Dr. Patel completed her residency in Advanced Education of General Dentistry at the Fayetteville Veterans’ Affair Medical Center in North Carolina.

Dr. Patel’s interest in dentistry arose from her love of science, her affinity for working with her hands, and her own personal dental experiences. She is a current member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association.

She enjoys general dentistry and believes in a conservative approach toward dental care with a strong emphasis on prevention. She also enjoys seeing patients of all ages and helping them achieve their oral health goals with respect, fairness, and kindness.

In her free time, Dr. Patel likes spending time with her loved ones and traveling. She enjoys cooking, hiking, and yoga, and is always excited to discuss the current book she’s reading. Every year during March Madness, you will see her cheering on her alma mater, UNC-Chapel Hill!
